Therapist Success Story
Satish, Physical Therapist
We would like to introduce our spotlight employee, Satish. Satish is a PT from India who has made Therapy Staff, and the facilities he travels to, his home away from home. He has traveled throughout Virginia and Michigan, and has made a positive impact on both his colleagues and patients. One patient wrote this poem about Satish:
Satish the therapy man,
Forces me to do all I can,
Swing around and lift a leg,
Until for mercy I must beg,
But when all is said and done,
He is just a good “Old Son of a Gun”
In addition to traveling throughout the U.S., Satish has enjoyed the breadth and variety of clinical settings and patients. Through these experiences, he has enjoyed learning from and teaching others. Satish recently mentored a PT student named Naga in her final months prior to graduation. After Naga’s graduation, we welcomed her as a member of the Therapy Staff team, and she seamlessly transitioned into an assignment where Satish had been working.
Satish is currently working with a client in Lansing, Michigan and is engaged to be married next month. Congratulations Satish!

1.What do you love about your job? Solving problems (not that we have many). I like to make sure people are taken care of. I am here so you don’t have to sweat the small stuff.
2.What was your strangest job? That’s an easy one…detasseling corn. I grew up in a rural town (Sturgis, MI) and a very popular job while in school is detasseling. Basically it’s taking the top tassel of corn stalks to promote cross pollination (or something like that).
3.What is your favorite thing to do outside of Therapy Staff? I love hanging out with my wife and kids (Rhonda, Patrick 11, Matt 7, Brady 7). Trust me; it’s not boring in our house.
4.What is your favorite movie? I am a Caddyshack freak…
5.What is your favorite food? I like a good steak every now and again.
6.What is the best advice you ever got? I have 2. The first is from my dad when I told him I was going to propose to Rhonda on her birthday and he said not to do it on an occasion…make it an occasion. The second is to not tuck your shirt into your underwear.
7.Can you tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I try to make someone laugh at least once a day.

Congratulation to the Askar family on the birth of their new little one!
Many companies utilize temporary staffing agencies to bring in extra help when they need it and need it quickly. However, many job seekers tend to avoid finding a job through a temp agency, when in fact, temporary jobs can be a great way to land your next full-time job or pick up new skills.
Here are the top 3 reasons to take a temporary job:
1. Taking a temporary job can be a source of income. You’ll network and meet a lot of new people in a temporary position that can give you an awesome recommendation.
2. A temporary job could turn into a full-time job if you’re a good fit for the position and if the company needs a person full-time. In fact, some companies do most or all of their hiring through staffing agencies, so it could be the only way to get into those companies.
3. By taking a temporary job, you can avoid gaps on your resume. Seeing large gaps on resumes can be questionable to some employers. So don’t dismiss temporary jobs.
